Born and raised in Long Beach CA, I am the youngest of 4 sisters. From a very young age I drew flowers all over anything that didn't move. At 13 I took my first pottery class a Marshall Jr High School, and, somewhere along the line, my doodling and my pottery making met up. Mere doodling grew up to be pretty little flowers, and my interest in pottery grew to the level of wanting pottery that was both pretty and useable. That marriage between flowers and pottery has survived to this day.

In 1970, I did my first show at the Long Beach Museum of Art. Even then, it still wasn't “art” to me. It was still just something that I liked to do. However, I did more shows and worked for various other potters until I gained more confidence and proficiency at the potter's wheel. That was the beginning of what you see today.

My house is just a few steps away from my “office”, where I have a kiln, and, of course, my clay, supplies, and my potter's wheel. Once I've thrown a piece on my wheel, I can do my own glazing and firing right at home, this gives me the control I need to continue to turn out beautiful pieces for my customers, and myself!
